Arc Flash Safety Workshop

This course is designed for front line workers responsible for electrical systems in the CSA Z462-12 electrical safety standard. Participants will gain a full understanding of hazards encountered while operating or maintaining electrical installations in the low voltage (below 750 volts) class including a full understanding of the arc hazard categorization, appropriate personal protective equipment selection and safe work procedures.
This one day workshop is designed to assist organizations to identify shock and arc flash hazards and prevent injuries and incidents associated with those hazards.
Instructor: Mark Evans has over 45 years of experience in the electrical trade and is a Red Sealed journeyman electrician. Mark’s experience’s in the trade include, residential, commercial, industrial and 20 years teaching experience in the BC Electrical apprenticeship program. Mark is also an active electrical contractor and holds level “A” certification in the province of BC. He is a skillful and respectful instructor who has taught throughout western Canada and overseas. Mark has taught all levels of the BC Electrical apprenticeship program including level 3 of the BC Industrial Electrical program and also trades training at the high school level. Mark has been involved in curriculum development and also has significant knowledge of both the Canadian Electrical code and the BC Electrical code.
