DESCRIPTION:This course meets the requirement for Enhanced Builder Licensing as set out by the Homeowner Protection Office. This course is approved for 28 Group A CPD credits by the Homeowner Protection Office.\n\n\nThe Service & Warranty course will help both company owners and their employees improve their awareness and understanding of the elements of Service and Warranty that will directly affect the everyday operation of their building company. There are numerous elements that are mandated by the Homeowner Protection Office (HPO). Should you fail to follow the correct procedures you could be putting you and your business at serious risk. \nNOTE: Early registration is necessary\, as this course will involve the advance receipt and completion of workbook and quizzes and assignments by way of email\, as well as the one-day session to review all material and prepare for writing the examination. Registration deadline: January 10\, 2017. \nCourse Content: \n\nUnderstand the culture of customer service\nLearn the important aspects of Pre Sales Considerations\nDevelop your communication skills\nUnderstand the importance of After Sales Service\nUnderstand how the Homeowner Protection Office is a critical part of the building process\nKnow how Home Warranty Insurance programs work\nDevelop your Walk-Through Inspection procedures\nUnderstand how the Turn-Over Process for Customers works\nUnderstand the importance of Quality Assurance and how to manage it\nKnow what the Warranty Certificate is\nBuild awareness around the Mediation and Conciliation processes\nLearn the Performance Standards to which you must adhere\nKnow your obligations under the Homeowner and Maintenance Manuals\n\n\nDuration: \nOnline home study 10-15 hours with quizzes and assignments. (Constitutes 25% of overall grade)\nOne day in-class session .\n\nMaterials \nWorkbook: “Service & Warranty”Course Format: \nUpon registration for the course\, the course manual will be delivered by regular post\, to be completed by students by the predetermined cut off date. Any student can email questions to the instructor at any time prior to the course date. The one day in-class session will be used to review all of the material\, answer any questions and prepare for the final exam in the afternoon.Examination: \nA pass mark of 80% is required on the in-class open book exam is written on the afternoon of the one-day in-class session. If a mark between 65% and 79% is achieved\, a fee is charged to re-write an online exam. A candidate is given the opportunity to re-write the examination a maximum of two times before having to retake the entire course. Candidates who score less than 65% on the initial examination are required to retake the course.\n Register Now!
