SUMMARY:Trenching and Excavation Safety Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The workshop walks participants through a comprehensive program that includes what the WorkSafeBC Regulations & Guidelines state\, safe work procedures and what to do if something goes wrong.\n\nIt covers shoring\, benching\, sloping and shielding systems. It also includes a section on location of underground utilities and the geotechnical and structural engineered documentation requirements.\n\nUpon completion of this couse participants will be able to: \n\nIdentify hazards around trenches and excavations\nBe able to locate underground utilities\nUnderstand soil types\, soil collapse patterns\, and warning signs\nGain familiarity with WorkSafeBC regulations\nUnderstand geotechnical and structural engineered documentation\nUnderstand sloping and benching\nUnderstand shoring and shielding systems\nDescribe and demonstrate where possible safe installation and removal processes\nIdentify emergency procedures for a trench collapse\n\nUpon successful completion\, participants will receive a wallet certificate. \n Register Now!
