SUMMARY:Construction Estimating
DESCRIPTION:Participants will learn skills and knowledge to estimate construction projects and prepare a successful bid. The course is designed for construction estimators and those with experience in construction that desire to be estimators or improve their knowledge of estimating. At the end of the course participants will be able to:\n\n\n\n\nAnalyze projects and decide on which ones to bid\nUnderstand risk analysis and how to price this into a bid\nDo competitor analysis and understand how this impacts the bid\nDo client risk analysis and how to price this into bids\nRecord material and other prices and maintain contact lists\nFormulate a bid strategy\nUnderstand how to prepare an estimate and the estimating process\nUse Construction Division Codes\nUnderstand how to present a bid\nBe familiar with how to use the bid depository\nUnderstand the requirements for bonding and insurance\nUnderstand the post-bidding process\nWork with project managers to pass on knowledge of the bid\n\nTopics to be covered:\n\nProject analysis\nRisk analysis\nCompetitor analysis\nClient risk analysis\nRecord keeping\nBid strategies\nPreparing estimates and the estimating process\nConstruction Division Codes\nPresenting bids\nBid depository\nBonding and insurance\nPost-bidding process\n\nTwo days (16 hours) of lessons with instructors plus an online portion involving research\, reading and answering questions (7-8 hours) that will be marked by the instructors. \n\n\n Register Now!

He was promoted to qualified officer in 2009\, and has since been confirmed to the ranks of Lieutenant\, Captain and acting Battalion Chief. He joined the Critical Incident Stress Management team in 2000.  He has developed many initiatives for the team members by introducing them to the latest techniques and training.
