SUMMARY:Canada’s first Registered Utility Locator Technician (RULT) Certification (Breakfast Event) - Burnaby
DESCRIPTION:Breaking ground on any new project comes with numerous risks. Every time you dig in the ground\, you run the risk of loss of life or damage to property if you hit any of the many buried cables\, conduits\, gas or oil pipelines and/or other underground facilities. \nKnowing what underground facilities are buried in or near your jobsite is essential if deadly\, dangerous\, or destructive accidents are to be avoided. It is essential that precise and reliable information be obtained regarding the presence\, location and depth of these underground utilities. \nA Registered Underground Utility Locator Technician (RULT) is a person who possesses professional registration with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC). RULTs are recognized for their competencies to verify\, identify and label public and private utility mains and other services located primarily underground. \nJoseph Salazar B.Sc.\, AScT\, RULT\, a member of the ASTTBC Underground Utility Locator Certification Board\, will talk to participants about the training and certification process and discuss the value in becoming certified as Registered Utility Locator Technician. \n Register Now!
